Hello,
I've installed Linux Mandrake 7.02 on my Acer Extensa 502 DX and had no
problems with the installation. However, when I boot up with a kernel with APM
enabled, it crashes on bootup and gives a general protection fault:0000 and I
believe a screen dump follows. This error only happens if APM is enabled
in the kernel. Without it, it boots properly. Would you happen to have any
idea why this happens? Any help would be greatly appricated!
Sincerely,
Tom Cruickshank
