Look, the welcome message you get when you join this list clearly
tells you the address for uns*bscribe requests and says "Please save
this message for future reference."
All list admin requests should go to either majordomo or
linux-laptop-request at vger.rutgers.edu. Try a "help" request.

I'm slightly suspicious that all the requests including the one I
replied to back then contain the same spelling error "unsuscribe". It
turns out that my previous message may not have got through - possibly
because majordomo spotted the word uns*bscribe and sent it to the list
