Hello list, I have a IBM ThinkPad 390X (2626MOU). That is working fine with RedHat 6.1. I also have a Xircom RealPort CardBus Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 card that works fine as well. But. . . I connect via a cross over cable to a PC and have a fix IP address, when I use the modem for a PPP connection with my ISP I get a IP address dynamically assigned. The problem is that PPP, started through 'rp3 1.0.1', sometimes ignores the assigned IP address and tries to use the fixed IP address I use with the ethernet card. Now the ISP (sympatico) will not talk to the fixed IP address, which I understand and except. But how do I get PPP to always use the dynamically assigned IP address? Any help appreciated Mohrgan
