Hi,
I shifted my Linux to a larger HD with plans to use my old 4 gig
drive for WIN95. I used my Gateway Solo 2100 Universal Boot Disk to
re-format the old drive and to install the CD driver file. I set my BIOS
to CD only, rebooted, and attempted to load WIN95 OS from my original CD.
There is the usual startup messages but at the point where it should read
the CD, instead, I get "LILO", a pause and then next line says "loading
linux" and nothing further happens. I tried reformatting the HD numerous
times and I also tried removing all partitions using fdisk in DOS mode.
Nothing seems capable of getting rid of the LILO remnant of my original
LINUX installation (Red Hat 5.2).
Can someone help me understand where this remnant is and how to
remove it? Thanks a million.
