Richard Stallman: Copyright et communauté au temps des réseaux informatiques
Linuxbourg et le Département d'informatique de l'Université de Fribourg ont
invité monsieur Richard Stallman, fondateur du projet GNU et personnalité
clé du mouvement qui à notamment amené au succès de gnu/linux. Ce soir il va
nous parler des mécanismes nécessaires pour garantir la liberté dans le
monde informatique.
À propos du conférencier
Richard Stallman is the founder of the GNU Project, launched in 1984 to
develop the free operating system GNU (an acronym for ``GNU's Not Unix''),
and thereby give computer users the freedom that most of them have lost. GNU
is free software: everyone is free to copy it and redistribute it, as well
as to make changes either large or small.
The GNU Project was conceived in 1983 as a way of bringing back the
cooperative spirit that prevailed in the computing community in earlier
days---to make cooperation possible once again by removing the obstacles to
cooperation imposed by the owners of proprietary software.
How far can free software go? Richard Stallman gives an answer to this
question in his speech.
