You should be able to run deblob-<kver> (e.g. deblob-3.11, if that's the major release this tree is based on) within a git checkout tree and get a deblobbed result. Depending on how patched the tree is compared with the upstream pristine release, the script may need adjustments to complete successfully (--force may work around some errors), but it's recommended that, after deblobbing, you create a tarball and run e.g. “deblob-check --use-awk linux-3.11-gnu-sunxi.tar” to check whether any blobs have been introduced with the changes between upstream and the sunxi tree, which may in turn require further tweaking of the deblobbing script. There are plans to make the deblobbing process smarter, and less dependent on the exact kernel version, but that hasn't been implemented yet. -- Alexandre Oliva, freedom fighter http://FSFLA.org/~lxoliva/ You must be the change you wish to see in the world. -- Gandhi Be Free! -- http://FSFLA.org/ FSF Latin America board member Free Software Evangelist Red Hat Brazil Compiler Engineer _______________________________________________ linux-libre mailing list [email protected] http://www.fsfla.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-libre
