Well since you asked, I'll put in a word about Free Geek Seattle. We
have conditional status at this point which means we can use the name
but a lot of blood & sweat (hopefully no tears) are needed before we're

On  the subject of volunteering, I can say that volunteering for an
organization you care about seems to me the "no-brainer" way to create
opportunities for yourself, other and in general create good karma.
