You need to do the following:
Reboot with a rescue disc and then do:

grub
> root (hd0,2)
> setup (hd0)
> exit

What that does is tell grub that the /boot directory is in /dev/sda3
(grub's numbering is 0 based) and to install it to the MBR of /dev/sda

You should then be able to reboot normally.
