In the past, I ran m0n0 on the WRAP platform because it was a few bucks cheaper than the Soekris boards. Both are very similar and work well. After the WRAP became discontinued, I bought a fanless solid state PC. It was something similar to this: http://www.logicsupply.com/products/perimeter_f In your original post, you mentioned needing a few ports. My solution to that is to use a switch. Your firewall doesn't have to be an all-in-one router / firewall / WAP / switch device. Nothing wrong with using individual devices that do one thing well. I'm also a big fan of the Cisco ASA firewall platform. The ASA 5505 is quite unbeatable in terms of value, and includes an 8-port switch. However, it's not open source (even though the OS is linux-based). -- Francois Caen
