Hi,
I am wondering if floppy drives are supported in linux-m68k on Atari. My new
falcon can not access floppy disks, it seems.
dmesg:
Atari floppy driver: max. HD, track buffering
Probing floppy drive(s):
does this mean, it did not find a floppy drive? I definetely have one, and
it works just fine in TOS. When I try to access it with mtools or by
mounting disks, I get:
mdir
init: set default params
Cannot initialize 'A:'
or
mount -tvfat /dev/fd0 /floppy
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
missing codepage or other error
and dmesg says:
VFS: Disk change detected on device fd(2,0)
Unknown Device: fd0
end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 2
Unknown Device: fd0
end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0
Unknown Device: fd0
end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0
[...]
This is with linux-2.2.25, 2.4 and 2.6 do not seem to support my serial
port, which I need right now...
I wonder if this explains: Fail to mount root with root=/dev/fd0
