A bit strange for me:

This code is failed:
        scancode = 0x1fff & ((buf[3] << 8) | (buf[4] >> 2));
        *ir_key = scancode;
        *ir_raw = scancode;

This code is working:
        *ir_key = 0x1fff & ((buf[3] << 8) | (buf[4] >> 2));
        *ir_raw = *ir_key;
