Apparently one guy cared enough to write XFMail, which
is fully graphical, very nice, and what I use. It comes
with source, and is freely usable except for commercial
resale (based on XForms). There's also XCMail (which is
not as free) and a bunch of others I looked at that I
didn't lile as much as XFMail.

I have a cable modem Com/21 and an ethernet card Tbase/10 on ISA slot.
Would like to know which linux would work best with my configuration.
I've got also amd 350 and w95(intend to install w98).
Would appreciate any advice.

Make sure that XF68_FBDev is set as executable
chmod +x /usr/lib/X11/XF68_FBdev

probably not (painless). It depends on whether the applications resolve
properly when you remove the symbolic link from /usr/lib/libncurses.so to
the numbered file, e.g, /usr/lib/libncurses.so.1.9.9e. I would remove (or
rename) the link temporarily and then run 'ldd' on the files in your path
(e.g., in /usr/bin). If they resolve properly, it should work to install a
new copy of ncurses on top. Otherwise, you'll have to recompile or
otherwise replace the programs (but only a few really use ncurses or termcap,
perhaps 5-10).

I do this each time I install a new base system, since I have no use
for ncurses 1.9.9e other than to verify that certain applications will
build with it.

Subject: Install kxicq => no QT 1.4X found, but I've installed it !!!
Date: Sun, 10 Jan 1999 10:30:52 +0000

Hi,

I have installed KDE, therfore I needed QT-libraries, so I installed Qt
version 1.40.
Now I want to install a icq klone, I tired two programmes, one of them
is kxicq, when I do " ./configure"
they both say at the end: "No QT libraries version 1.40 or higher
installed, check your installation".

What is the problem cause QT is installed, cause otherwise I wouldn't be
able to run KDE...
Can someone help me please?

Thank you very much,
                                                        Jurrien Kok

Here's absolutely irrefutable, scientifically-verifiable evidence that
plainly demonstrates Jesus the Nazarene called the Christ to be the
One and Only Messiah of the Hebrew Old Testament(TaNaKh). I discovered
these facts through very careful, exhaustive research and deduction by
comparing extant secular-historical evidences with the testimony which
was so faithfully recorded in the ancient Hebrew Canon, which necessarily
includes BOTH Old and New Covenant Scriptures.
Thanks again for reading,
Enjoy! :)

and cant even get connected to the net
I dont even know how to create a file
like the copy con command in dos

FUCK LINsux !!!

why the hell did I bother?
I must want to punish myself???

this is like learning chinese
nothing makes sense
I'm a pretty good dos/win user
now I'm a major linsux dweeb

I've never paid for a MS product either
so whats the dif???

I'll stick to NT and win98
I can do just as much with a c complier and winsock
than gnu and linsux
