I'm trying to setup a clipper-dbase application to work under dosemu. The
application itself is an accounting-like program.

This is part of a migration from a windows to linux environment. The
clipper-program was used in windows 98 workstations from a NT 4 server
share. I've managed to get the clipper-program to work almost (under
Caldera DR-DOS 7.03 -dosemu 1.0.2 -Linux mandrake 8.0 -from the NT4
server) fine besides some problems:

1. Actually there are windows clients accessing the clipper-program in the
server as also linux-dosemu (Mandrake 8.0) clients. It seems that something
happens that blocks some windows clients to access the program properly
when linux clients are logged in (maybe something related to file
blocking?). The NT4 server will be sustituted by a Linux-Samba server and
ideally all windows clients for linux, should i expect to have the same
problem in this scenario?

2. The clipper-app won't print properly under dosemu-cups (the version
shipped with LM8). The pattern here is somewhat random: I've got one kind
of report printed once but after that tried with others and even with the
same again and got no results at all. No print job sent to the printer.
Besides that I can always get a directory listing printed from the dos
prompt with 'dir >prn' so what i probably need to get direct access to the
parallel port. I've tried to set this up but maybe i'm missing some
user-port-access-privilege configuration in linux or in the dosemu.conf.
Maybe some of you have an experience with this and can help me?
