Steffen,
Thank you for your prompt response.
To be more specific, after I load xdosemu I do:
C:\>MODE MONO
Right after that, the font goes black and I cannot see them anymore, but
I do see the cursor. So then I load MSHERC and it works, or at least it
says "Hercules Resident Video Support Routines. Version 1.10" which is
pretty good news.
Now, the bad news is that for some reason I cannot set the graphic mode
to 720x348. I have tried an application that runs only on hercules
graphic mode and it does not work, and I have also tried to set the
hercules graphic mode from QBasic with the command SCREEN 3 but it gives
me the error "Illegal funcion call in line 0" which means that you do
not have an hercules graphics card. I used to develop software in
QuickBasic and that is the error you used to get when trying "screen 3"
on a CGA, EGA or VGA card.
Of course, if I try other graphic modes, it works fine.
I don't know if the Hercules graphic mode is supported, or if MSHERC is
supported but I would really appreciate if there is a way for you to
connect me with somebody who can give me some clues.
Again, thanks
Julian
