DOSEmu, but I am trying to start only the first installation step of WINNT/2K under Linux, _before_ WINNT reboots. WINNT.exe itself is not a 32 bit program and also does not contain any of the listed keywords, so theoretically it should work. But it crashes under DOSEMU 1.0.2 saying
kernel CPU speed is 730000981 Hz Running on CPU=586, FPU=1 ERROR: general protection at 0x17c6a: 67 ERROR: SIGSEGV, protected insn...exiting! Falls this under the known bugs listed in EMUFailure about "lousy implementation of DPMI"? I tried also to change the settings of various memory sizes but the message was the same. The crash happens at the beginning of WINNT where the screen says: "Computer is being inspected...". Does anyone know something about this error or even a workaround?
