Hello,
I have problems with the a.m. chessboard. The chessboard is connected to
com 1 of my PC. For some DOS-based chess progamms (like Fritz, Chess
Genius) there are drivers available for communication with the
board. Before starting the chess programm the driver has to be started.
Now I have some problems:
1). I get only connection (by starting the driver) when I start DOSEMU
from the console as root. When I start as normal user, the driver fails
to start and I dosemu hangs. What I can do to get the communication from
xdos?

2).In case the driver starts (Dosemu as root), the communication between
the chess programs and the board is not always good:
- Chess Genius works good
- fritz3 receive the moves from the chessboard, but the chessboard seems
not to receive the moves from the chessprogram: the LED's on the board
are not blinking, i.e they are not indicating the move. Under true DOS
it works. What could be the problem? How I can solve?

I am using Dosemu 1.02 and DR DOS 7.03 and Linux Kernel 2.4.0
My only setting in the dosemu.conf is com1= /dev/ttyS0

Thank you in advance.
