It's a piece of cake, kind of.

Use a good terminal client that let's you remap the keyboard.  I like
Putty or VanDyke's CRT for windows.  On Linux, you don't need anything
at all.

Set your window to 80x25.  Most terminals are 80x24 by default.

Use a the right font.  I don't know if this is a problem for Linux, but
on Windows I think you need Fixed or Terminal.  Of course if you're
using non-us stuff, some experimentation may be needed.
