I am running dosemu on debian and am having a com port problem. MSD is seeing my comports; I'm sure of this because I edited the autoexec.bat to change the baudrate and it showed up when I ran msd under dosemu. When I try to copy something onto a piece of braille equipment I have on com2 (which I can do in both plain dos and linux) I get the announce ment that the file is copied but in reality my braille device has never been accessed. I am using my own dos partition with dos6.22 and it is working in that I can use the editor, run wp5.1 and access the floppy drive with no problem. But the com ports are not accessed even though DOS apparently thinks it is accessing them. I have edited the com lines in /etc/dosemu/dosemu.conf; I was confused as to whether I also needed to put settings in the "ports" line but have tried it both ways to no avail. I have changed the permissions of /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttys1 a couple of times with no change in results. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
