In fact if you use debian the quicker way is to install the debian package of dosemu 
and
after your replace dos dosemu dosdebug by compiled version of dosemu 1.1.3.
At the end you just need to change path in /etc/dosemu/global.conf or quicker do a 
link from /var/lib/dosemu
to /usr/lib/dosemu ...that's all
