I have investigated Star Trek 25th Anniversary, CD edition, on Dosemu some more.
This is the symptom: Dosemu seems to lock up for some time when the game is supposed to read from CD. Refreshing of the Dosemu X window stops for at least half a minute. However, if I do 'make install' in a source tree, or something else to keep the disk busy, CD I/O is much faster. Different values of hogthreshold does not solve the problem. lredir does not work with this game, so that is not an option.
