My computer coughed, when I attempted to send the message listed below. I hope that the message gets to its destination thisd time round. My apologies for wasting the time of readers of this list.
------ How should the "printer" entries in dosemu.conf be amended to make allowance for the changed printing environment which features in Linux RedHat 7.1 (and presumably subsequent releases). On my box, DOS programs, with print routines that default to LPT1, do not work under dosemu-1.0.2.1? If this question has already been answered, I would be grateful to be pointed to the answer. For the record - simply changing the name of the printer in dosemu.conf to the printer name shown in /etc/printcap has no effect; when the print routines are called, the output is sent to screen and not to the named printer. Attached are the features of the RH 7.1 printer installation (as documented by dmesg), just in case the needed information is there.
