I have been following the 'Clipper Locks' issue raised by Anderson Pereira Ataides [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] and replied to by Matthew Nuzum [[EMAIL PROTECTED]]
We have some experience with file locking issues related to Clipper apps running under DOSEMU. The problem is not with DOSEMU itself, but rather with differences in file locking and caching techniques between DOS/Windows and Linux. Installing and configuring the most recent version of SAMBA (2.2.4) on a computer running the most recent Linux kernel versions (2.4+) can resolve the file locking problems. For more specific info, refer to http://samba.org, especially http://samba.org/samba/ftp/docs/htmldocs/smb.conf.5.html#KERNELOPLOCKS Hope you find this useful... Greg LaBossiere XVIEW SOLUTIONS INC.
