All,

I've spent most of the weekend loking at getting dos to
run in the background and reading commands from stdin -
redirected to either file or tty.

Using the keystroke config option works too, but is this the only
option ? I've seen people report success in getting older
versions of dosemu to work with redirected stdin. 
David Coffin wrote in 1997 (or thereabouts :-) that he had
the following working:

cat <cmdfile> | dos < `tty <&2` 

presumably with redirected output too.
