Hi, I'm having a problem - or rather, a couple of problems - making dosemu work properly and having tried everything that I (a dosemu newbie) can think of I'm asking the list in the hope that someone here will be able to sort me out :-)
I've set up dosemu (1.1.1, from bero.org RPMs, on RH7.3) and can make it all boot properly; the problem is that the Ctrl key doesn't seem to work (or doesn't get passed to dosemu) so various key sequences that my applications require can't be done... I've tried this running dos in gnome-terminal, xterm and on the console; same thing, so it doesn't seem like a window mananger is stealing the keystroke or similar: I suspect it's not a simple dosemu problem, though, because a Linux application had the same problem in its console version while its X version worked happily. I therefore decided that it was worth trying xdos, but unfortunately that crashes on startup, saying something along the lines of: Running unpriviledged in low feature mode kernel CPU speed is 448626000 Hz Running on CPU=586, FPU=1 ERROR: cpu exception in dosemu code outside of VM86()! trapno: 0x0e errorcode: 0x00000006 cr2: 0x37abbb9c eip: 0x08228009 esp: 0xbffff858 eflags: 0x00210206 cs: 0x0023 ds: 0x002b es: 0x002b ss: 0x002b Page fault: write instruction to linear address: 0x37abbb9c CPU was in user mode Exception was caused by non-available page I've tried all sorts of combinations of the keyboard options in dosemu.conf and keyboard drivers in DOS but to no avail. Can anybody please give me a pointer in the right direction? Many thanks in advance, Simon - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-msdos" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
