Not possible, Linus is no longer maintains the 2.4 kernels. -ac is recommended for dosemu users as Alan Cox kindly applied all the dosemu- related patches in 2.4.19, while Marcelo have done that only in 2.4.20-pre (and not so kindly, I would say:)

Well, at first search your system logs for Oopses as usual, however "core dumped" makes sense, so you'll probably find none there. In that case run dosemu.bin under gdb and provide a stack trace at the point of a crash.
