just to clarify, I see you already figured out, yes DOSEMU is able to run without a config file and that is by design now. that's sysconfdir -- default is /etc/dosemu But, for backwards compatibility, DOSEMU looks for /etc/dosemu.conf if /etc/dosemu.users exists. > Also, it seems to be > using a conf file I cannot locate, what was the command to check where > it;s seeing the conf files?
