Dr. Syd Kreitzman Your user should own /dev/ttyS0, or better, it should be a member of group uucp that owns /dev/ttyS0. Also you have to see privileges of /var/lock. I don't remember all steps but I think these tips should help you find the way to let dosemu access serial port.
