Hi folks, some time ago someone suggested a distribution with/for DOSemu. I don't think we need another distribution.
For the newbies I think it would be helpful to see an installed DOSemu working, so that they can see, how it works. I have remastered a Knoppix-CD (http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-old.html) with the new DOSemu 1.1.99.1 and FreeDOS. A Knoppix-CD is a boot CD which boots a Linux debian kernel and tries to find out all your hardware in the boot process. It will only install the kernel and a virtuell harddrive in the RAM, so it will not touch your harddrive. It will not change anything on your computer other than in the RAM and if you reboot your computer, you will find, that nothing is changed. With this CD you can try DOSemu and you can try your favorite DOS program. I must conceed, that the introduction and the explanation are only in German up to date. I will try to translate it into English (maybe French and Spanish later) as soon as possible. You can find this DOSemu-FreeDOS-Knoppix-CD for sale and for free download at http://resmedicinae.sourceforge.net/manuals/index.html. cu Claudia - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-msdos" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
