The guide helped with getting dosemu to start. Thanks. I chose to do the
path to use freedos in synthetic mode since I do not have a dos
partition available.

Now the next issue is the CDROM drive. I have a CD-RW drive but I
typically do not use the ide-scsi module. I use the ide-cd module
instead. So my cdrom appears at /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 (Gentoo 1.4 system).

I placed a symbolic link to the drive in my .dosemu/drives directory:

lrwxr-xr-x    1 storri   wheel          10 Jan 14 20:42 d -> /dev/cdrom

The Autoexec.emu and Config.emu mention the cdrom but I did not know
where to place them. Are these files to replace autoexec.bat config.sys
respectively?
