Hello.

I was wondering if I could use ISO CD-images with DOSEMU. I did not find anything in the docs (1.2.1 as delivered with SuSE 9.1).
I thinks that's because dosemu is not
necessary should do that. There are
those cd-rom emulators to do that kind
of things. ThiefCD by Denis Julitov is
one of such an emulators. You are unlikely
to find that progs on the net nowadays
however. Google reveals only the commercial
ones for Windows. I think I still have them
on the tapes somewhere. Also see this:
http://virtual-cdrom.ru/

Is this possible or do I need to open a feature request?
I am not sure dosemu needs this internally.
It already have the code that provides the
mscdex-compatible API on top of the Linux
ioctls of cdrom. This might be possible to
adapt for the regular files, probably even
very easy to do, but the person who wrote
that code, is no longer available for years.
So don't count on a feature request too much.
Better luck with the cdrom emulators.
