Unfortunately, no. It's just a little VIA Epia-based system (so a single C3 processor) running Fedora Core 3. Some older versions of Red Hat seemed to default to an SMP kernel (even on uniproc machines), so I checked that - turns out this kernel is configured without SMP. That is interesting though - I wonder if the issue is related to kernel configuration. Or maybe system libraries. Are both of your systems running the same glibc?
