I am having another problem too:
I put two .bdf fonts in dosemu-1.4.0/etc directory and I insert them in
the dosemu.alias file. With version 1.3.3, that was enough to compile
the font to .pcf.gz and instal properly.
Now I had to
1) put both .bdf *and* .pcf.gz files,
2) I had to edit the fonts.dir files and
3) after install, I had to:
mkfontdir /usr/local/share/dosemu/Xfonts ; xset fp rehash
As before I have to remove /usr/local/share/dosemu/Xfonts every time or
it will not get re-installed.
This sounds like something has changed... please help
