I've made a fair stab at getting 12c2 DOS (and 12c3, you did realize you can
download
an upgrade patch from www.autodesk.com for free didn't you?) to go. And it's
just like the documentation explicitly mentions about DOS acad. no can do
because of the pharlap extender.
I'm eagerly awaiting a copy of 14 for win95, since I've been pleasantly
surprized how many things actually work in wine.
A friend told me recently of a new linux native CAD that just came out that
is supposed
to be acad-like for about $99, I don't have the url handy but do have it in
another machines' mail client, and while doing a quick search just now I saw
something called VariCAD, it's linux native and the single user license
without support and without a CD (download it) is $299 and
goes up from there when you add more users/support/CD
