Just recently I installed my first umsdos linux system.

As this machine is running in a network where I keep our
tools up-to-date via "rdist" I stumbled over what seems
to be the "DOS mtime is exact to 2 seconds only" problem.
So after transferring a file and setting its mtime so the
servers value sometimes the mtime's differ by 1 second.

1. Is it correct that UMSDOS just uses the DOS mtime info?
2. Am I correct on the 2 seconds resolution?
3. What is the workaround ("make" like programs should see
   the same problem?)?
