The requirements are:
1) You run Linux (late 2.0.x, preferably something like 2.0.36)
2) You have an Intel (compatible) proccessor

Apart from that it is up to you. Applications will tend to run slower
under DOSEMU, so if your machine has problems running them normally, it
will have SERIOUS problems running them under DOSEMU. (This is one of the
proces you pay for running under a Multi-tasking OS)

If you want to run Windows (3.1) applications you must also have a (legal)
copy of WinOS/2 (eg from OS/2 2.1). (An alternative system for running
Windows applications is WINE - see http://www.winehq.com/ )

It _should_ be. We now include programs that will let you configure DOSEMU
easily and include test software - so that you can prove that your version
works. Having said that, there are areas where the documentation is
lacking, or it is out of date. Any volunteers wanting to update said
documentation should probably contact me.

The closest is the 'EMUfailure.txt' from the './docs' directory.
(Available on the WWW as http://www.dosemu.org/docs/EMUfailure/ ) I don't
guarantee that it is accurate. If anything it is likely to be pessemistic,
since it is now over a year old, and more bugs in DOSEMU have been
squashed.

Get the latest version! Unless your slackware system can cope with RPM
then this will probably be the source distribution of 0.98.4
