OK, I forgot something, had to set that logging in a ser_...h file. I must
have been getting tired, so I rememberd after a good night sleep.
I now changed that, applied the patch for no X support and recompiled. I
now get al ser.port read/writes in the logfile again but it feels like I'm
just about back where I started. With no debugging the dos programm runs
ok, with debugging I get a communication time-out, even if the time-out is
set to 99 sec (normal 10-15 sec).
One of the many ways I tried to start dos with debugging was with:
gzip -9 < pipe > debug.gz & dos -D+s -I 'logbufsize 0x50000 logfilesize
0x50000' -o pipe
(with larger sizes for the buffer too)
As far as I understand it, the things I really want to log are the
Transmit and Recieve bytes, at least I suspect those are the communication
that takes place between the programm and the microcontroller. Am I right
and is there a way I can get dosemu to only log those?
BTW with 0.99.4 I now can switch between consoles without mixing up the
display, and with the dos programm the console is now identical with the
way it looks with dos. Previous (with 0.66.6) the last line on the console
was missing with dosemu on the laptop, and when I switched to another VC
and then back to the VC where dosemu was running, this VC was totally
mixed up, so I'm a little bit better of.
