Ah, I see my previous messages made it onto the list. good. I also saw that no-one answered them. Not so good. :( However, in the spirit of improving the product, here's another bug report: Compiled 0.99.6 this weekend. Tried building in x86 emulator support, but died with a compiler (GCC 2.8.1) error. Disabled x86 emulator (configured with setup-dosemu) and program compiled fine. Incidently, I hacked the Makefile to use -mpentium -march=pentium to see if it helped performance at all. Reconfigured /etc/dosemu.conf using setup-dosemu. Dosemu booted fine. (Using Win95 as DOS) Went to my dosemu-installed copy of Steel Panthers II. Re-ran the SETSOUND.EXE program, and sucessfully detected SB and SB Pro (tried both). Ran the main executable, and the previous sound bug was gone - although there was no sound at all, this time. (Note that I was mucking about with some other sound stuff before, this may have been a failure to grab the sound devices that wasn't dosemu's fault. I'll try this again right after reboot to see if it works) Program ran through all demo sequences fine, but hung on main game sequence. Again, symptom was failure to use mouse in game (mouse worked elsewhere) and as there are no keyboard shortcuts in the game, there's no way to tell if the game was really hung, or just waiting on mouse input. Ctl-c in dosemu console window would not always cleanly exit. It would stop the process, but windows would hang around untill kill -9. Plain kill wasn't good enough. Tried same with Steel Panthers III - same result. So, it looks like I'm hitting a (known?) bug in mouse support for sure. Who is currently working on mouse support? What can I do to help? DG
