I have successfully installed verison 0.98.2 on my Debian 2.0 (kernel
2.0.36) system.
This has solved a problem I had with the mouse in a game (Bridge) using
graphics under 0.66.7.
My thanks to the Programmers.

A program that previously worked, however, now crashes the window
manager: this is Reflection 4, a communication program which uses just
plain ascii characters and no mouse. As soon as I call it, before doing
anything, the screen is split into alternating horizontal bands (either
containing the same as before the "crash" or black).
I am going to play with the configuration file (which, as far as I can
see, does not clash with the one I had in 0.66.7).

In the mean time, may I ask whether this problem is known?

Thank you,

Remo
