The ring0 instructions or memory manipulation - there is no other need to
be in ring0 AFAIK. The other "problem" would be that granting DOSEMU this
access would require a kernel module/patch and would open the hole for ANY
application to gain access to ring0. (Say: Hello Virus, ByeBye system)

For those wanting to risk their sanity CPUEMU does
exist - in the development versions of DOSEMU. It does some emulation so
far, but the real expert is (currently) Alberto.
