it works for me with the below configureation:
2.2.1 kernel, IPX+SPX support compiled in
0.98.1-3 dosemu
/etc/dosemu/conf:

Btrieve works fine with these settings for me. Don't forget to download
pdether103.tgz from somewhere, there you can find pdether.exe in it and
detailed information about SPX support in dosemu.
