Hi, just now that i've sent my mail, i have to say it works now. Not the compiled DosEmu, but the one that came with the "SuSE 6.0". I just took the "hdimage.test" as "hdimage.first". I also forgot to mail that i created my "hdimage.first" from a 4DOS DOS floppy, it seems this is a problem. But the problem compiling dosemu-0.66.7 still exists. Sorry for causing traffic, Torsten. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sat, 17 Apr 1999 19:32:35 +0200 (MEST) From: Torsten Mohr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Bug? Hi, i'm new to DosEmu, i use the german distribution SuSE 6.0, Kernel 2.2.6 (also tested the problem with 2.2.1). I downloaded dosemu-0.66.7, typed a "./configure" as user. The output told me that i'd have a SMP-system, which is not true, the kernel (both) were compiled without SMP support. Then i typed "make", this failed, because (in a subdirectory) in the file "slang-keyboard.c" there were two (VOID *), which were unknown. I changed them to (void *). In "ipx.c" there was an undefined SOL_IPX in an environment like #ifdef 1 something with SOL_IPX #else something without SOL_IPX #endif so i changed "#ifdef 1" to "#ifdef 0". Now everything compiled fine, but the "./first-test" failed: schleim:/home/tmohr/dosemu-0.66.7 # ./first-test ERROR: Unable to initialze SMG routines. schleim:/home/tmohr/dosemu-0.66.7 # I don't know what SMG is, didn't find anything like it in the docu. Before i installed dosemu-0.66.7 i tried the dosemu that came with the "SuSE 6.0". I configured it and typed "dos -o error -C" (as user and as root, both kernels). tmohr@schleim:~ > dos -o error -C CPU speed set to 200/1 MHz Running on CPU=586, FPU=1, rdtsc=1 tmohr@schleim:~ > cat error [00000765] debug flags: [00000026] SIGILL while in vm86() [00000026] ERROR: LOCK prefix not permitted! Please don't hesitate to mail me, if there are informations missing. Thank you for dosemu, Torsten Mohr. eMail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
