Hi,

I have a problem running SIMION (a program for calculating ion optics) under DOSEMU.
SIMION uses a lots (!) of RAM and has a graphical interface.

O.k. When I try to start SIMION I get the following message:
"DOS Extender: Error X0111: Conflicting protected mode environment detected". I
guess, that SIMION wants to do something that LINUX does not allow in my
configuration. It makes no difference if I am running DOSEMU as root or normal user.
Also, it does not make any difference if I ran DOSEMU from X-Windows or normal tty
console.
Question: Am I doing something terribly stupid (hopefully) or is it not possible to
run SIMION under DOSEMU/LINUX?

Ah, I am running Debian 2.1 with the standard 2.0.36 kernel and using DOSEMU 0.98.

It would be great if someone could give me a hint.
