I just subscribed to the list and saw that many of you had the
VGA font problem when running RH6.0.
It turns out the font server on this Linux release is broken. More
information can be found on comp.os.linux.x
The solution is to upgrade the XFree86 packages from
XF...-48 to XF...-52. (I have lost the info on where to
download them, but it should be easy to find). After that
use chkfontpath to first remove and then add all the font
directories (assuming that mkfontdir has been run in them).
This solved the problem for me and now DOSEMU finds the
font without any problems.
