dosemu and clipper

I'm runnnig a clipper program under dosemu and it runs fine except for a minor problem. I'm getting an error message 4 from a clipper program when it tries to open some files. I've tryied to set files=150 in config.sys but it doesn't work. Have you got any suggestions ? Thanks,                 Andre
