I don't know. I had the original poster's problem myself as well. Dosemu
crashes on dpmi-stuff every now and then for me, but it has always done
so, as far as I know of, having used it since 1995 or so.
The compiler version that compiled the _kernel_ should not be the
problem. However, gcc-2.7.2 and libc5 are still the recommended versions
to compile dosemu, but I don't use these versions anymore.
