Hello:
I'm quoting here from the QuickStart documentation
as follows:
My questions follow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. First tiny test
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may want to instantaneously start dosemu. We supply a ready to boot
hdimage with a tiny FreeDos installation (just the kernel). This may
be booted via

- become root
- ./first-test

FreeDos kernel will show up, and you can leave it via

- C:> exitemu
or
- C:> exit
... oh well, FreeDos also exits on top level command.com :-(
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
typing ./first-test at the command line generates a
response from bash as follows:

./first-test : No such file or directory

I can't locate any command or binary called first-test,
also, the documentation doesn't tell me what directory
I should be in.

And, yes, am logged in as root.
And I have installed from Linux Red Hat 6.1

Quoting again:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 Boot ( 'comfortable' method ;-)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The most comfortable method to get DOSEMU booting your DOS is to
prepare a socalled 'bootdir'. This is a Linux directory under
/var/lib/dosemu, which contains all you normally have in the native
DOS partition. You may use

   ./setup-bootdir

Again: the command : ./setup-bootdir generates the
following response from bash: ./setup-bootdir: No such file or directory

And I am not sure what directory I should be in.

Questions: Obviously I am doing something wrong? I could
appreciate some help here. Our local LUG has not been able
to resolve this.
Is there an "Dos Idiot's" site?

Comments:
If not the above, I'd be happy to set one up.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Tim Johnson
