Hi all,
I have used the sendpage call rather than the sendmesg
call for my application. I have completely eliminated
the intensive __copy_from_user_11 process(as seen in
my readprofile results) , and I expected to see a gain
in my CPU utilization and throughput. Somehow ,
nothing seems to be happening. I have used 4K blocks
on the wire.
I am on the 2.6.10 kernel . Does anyone have any
experience , or have seen lots of improvements with
sendpage for any bulk data transfer??
