I see that the documentation is still in the 2.6.29 kernel for the linux packet filter, Documentation/networking/filter.txt, but I no longer see it as an option in the config file. Is this still supported? Did the option change in the config file and I am just missing it? We use isc.orgs dhclient which utilizes the socket filters and allows DHCP to work well in our high volume UDP network.
