Either:
1. Ensure that the kernel was compiled with SMB support
(CONFIG_SMB_FS), either built-in or as a module. You can then use the
smbmount command from the Samba package to mount the share, similar to
NFS.
2. Use the smbclient program from the Samba package. This behaves
similar to the ftp program.
