Hi all,
I posted a question on this some time back, but either no one
had any ideas about it, or my post went to Zimbabwe courtesy
of my mail servers. My problem is this: I'm using masquerading
under 2.1.125/RH5 on an i486 [a486, I should say, and be proud
of it :)], and TOS keys don't do what they should. That is,
say, news and http are flagged as 0x08 (max bandwidth). News
only gets max bandwidth so long as there's a continuous stream
of data flowing through the nntp port. As soon as there's a
pause, and an http request is sent, news drops to 0 priority -
and I have to delete the chain and recreate it in order for it
to be of any use. What I'd basically want is have equal
priorities for nntp and http - without any one of them losing
its priority in favour of the other. Is there any way to do
it? "Can't we all just live peacefully?" :)
Cheers,
Pseudo Nim
